Privacy Policy

Your files should stay yours.

This policy explains the privacy approach for Uplou's browser-based PDF and file tools.

File processing

Uplou's core tools are designed to process files in your browser whenever possible. That means your files typically stay on your device and are not uploaded to Uplou servers for those browser-based tasks.

Do not use Uplou for documents if you are not comfortable processing them in your current browser or device environment.

Analytics

Uplou uses PostHog analytics to understand product usage, such as page views, which tools are opened, whether processing succeeds or fails, and how many files are processed.

Analytics events are configured to track usage metadata like tool name, file count, file size, result size, and timing. Uplou does not intentionally track file names, document text, or document contents in analytics events.

Accounts and payments

Uplou does not currently require an account for the core PDF tools.

Uplou does not currently collect payments inside the app for the core PDF tools.

Local browser data

Uplou may store small preferences in your browser, such as language choice, so the site feels consistent when you return.

You can clear this browser data through your browser settings.

Changes

This policy may change as Uplou adds more tools or services. The latest version will be available on this page.
